With full orderbooks M&R Automation GmbH invests in a new assembly hall
Following the recent award of a large order for high-tech production lines for the medical device industry M&R Automation GmbH, based in Grambach, has landed a million Euro deal in the automotive sector; reason enough to build a new assembly hall in Grambach near Graz.
(Graz, November 2011) Following the recession a feeling of optimism has returned to the automotive sector since the beginning of 2010. The Styria based M&R Automation GmbH specialises in customised production and testing systems and after commissioning a major production line for BMW, has secured the next large order in the gearbox segment. Following other well-known names in the automotive assembly and supply industry, such as Mercedes, Magna, ZF and GKN, now Volkswagen has also become convinced of the qualities of this Styrian flagship company. The car manufacturer will be equipped with production and testing systems from M&R Automation GmbH for the Volkswagen DSG dual-clutch gearbox.
“With this order from Volkswagen as well as the manufacture of high-tech production lines for Roche the sector diversity of M&R Automation can be further strengthened” commented M&R Automation managing director Herbert Ritter. Based on standardised processes the team develops and manufactures customised solutions for the automotive, electronic, consumer goods, pharmaceutical and medical device sectors.
M&R utilises the current economic up-turn to bring a new dimension to the business.
Due to the excellent order situation M&R Automation GmbH has already been able to double its order book compared to the previous year. Over 40 additional and valuable jobs in a range of disciplines, from apprentices to academics, as well as 40 jobs for contract workers have thus been secured for the region. “The numerous orders from the various sectors have encouraged us to expand our production facilities“, emphasised Herbert Ritter. “Since July 2011 work is diligently progressing on a new assembly hall. With the extension of more than 1700 m² existing orders for plant can be produced and new projects can also be tackled.”
