In collaboration with its sister company, Alicona Imaging, M&R Automation has devel-oped a 3D measurement method for free-form bodies, in order to make possible a 100% quality control in production, with a high degree of flexibility, speed and preci-sion. By means of a special software solution fine-tuned to the robot, or respectively to the mechanical system deployed, this measurement system sets new standards in 3D measurement technology, opening up possibilities previously barely thought of, in terms of your management of quality assurance.
 
Typical areas of use are test cells and production facilities for measuring free-form bo-dies, such as welded, bent or deep-drawn parts, as well as test cells for monitoring the completeness of assemblies in the mounting process. Depending on the requirement or respectively on the measurement task at hand, there is a robot system version or a version based on a system of coordinate axes.
